 Senior Technical Consultant I have been testing it with MS Word Files and like the Keyword context shown in the lower pane. I have not become totally fimilar with all of the features yet and the benefits of creating a searchable index. My next activity is to use PDF files as the target. The documentation is a little rough, primary with respect to grammar-many of the sentences are not good english.Can you view the index?  Best in class. I have reviewed several other .pdf search programs, which were all pretty much useless. (the sleuthhound, effective search, and instant document search)
Pdf search was the only one that could search within .pdf files effectively. I haven't tried to use it on compressed .pdf yet (that I know of), but it did find all the specific numeric amounts (140. 00, 12. 00, etc.) in the downloaded .pdf statements from my bank. None of the others could find text or numeric amounts in those files.
On the other hand, I did get a lot of false-positives when searching files on intra-net servers.

 It did its job I needed a tool to search a file in the Windows cabinet files, and Cool Find did it. However, for this seldom needed task, the price of Cool Find seems to high for me to purchase it.
